AJ have fun at college. its not a bad time. Rowena, welcome back to class I've been in classes for...this is week two now. Half of mine are all either online or 'hybrids' where we do all our work online but go to class for lecture. The online stuff isn't too bad. I can get a weeks worth of work done in a few days

It was also my first day of university today, but it was all orientation. And tomorrow we get... more orientation. I actually want the classes to start... Is that weird? ;P Kate - That sounds interesting. I've never done an online course before, but, well like I said, it seems like it would be interesting. And more convenient. Unrelated note: Do you ever find that, after you write in, say, present tense for a while, it's hard to go back to writing past tense for another story? I switch without even realizing it and then I get annoyed because I have to go back and change everything to the right tense. XD

Orientation sucks. I went through it last year, then this year I changed schools so this new school makes it required so I had to go through it again with a bunch of freshman. Another transfer student was a friend of mine, we barely paid attention. it much more conveint, the only thing is I'm one of those people that likes to get everything done at once and right away, so I drive myself nuts haha I have a horrible time doing that, or I think about the story as if I'm living it and I write in past tense and I'm thinking as it happens so I right present.

I agree. Most of it seems pretty common sense, at least to me... Although we do get a free bbq tomorrow. I'm looking forward to that! XD It's nice when you have someone you know there, though. I always feel like the icebreakers that the coordinators or whoever try to get us to do end up failing. But I also think I'm pretty shy. Ahh, see, I don't have that 'problem'. (It's not a problem, that's actually a good way of doing things, I'd say ;P) I'm a horrible procrastinator. And proud of it. Yeah! And then you're reading through it and it's like, aw, I messed up the verbs. I guess that's part of the fun of writing... XD

I think its common sense too so don't feel bad about that. The ice breakers kill me. They don't make me want to talk to people, they make it feel forced and no one is willing to come out and say those odd little things they have in common with other people because they don't want o be 'weird'
Yeah see, it is a problem because I won't start it until I can do it all at once. haha hello paper due in three hours haha ;D
haha thats always fun to go back and find.

I'm not in college yet, but at my school for every other division only the entering grade/new people have to go to orientation. But for high school everyone does, and all we do is get our books, walk through our classes and have our pictures taken. And it's almost as long as a school day >.< The good news is I survived my first day of classes! Yay...I guess. It's so sad, it doesn't even feel like I was away for the summer D: I am so excited for my Philosophy and Lit class! Today we discussed Maus, which was the summer reading, and when someone asked what "What is red?" meant on our intro sheet, our teacher went on about how what you call red could be what he sees as green, which I've totally thought about before! At first I was kinda bummed I was in this class instead of Shakespeare or Narrative of Suspense but now I am super excited My problem with writing in past/present tense is I'll be writing in one, stop to read a fic that's written in another, and then inadvertently start writing in that tense.

I couldn't go to my orientation. They made it so you had to move into residence a week early ($150CAD) to go to it. First day of class last week and I got homework. And got heat stroke the first time I tried to compete it. WE had to go find a certain house here in London, and sketch it. I got to feel like a creeper. (Don't ask why I'm excited about that. ). Now I have to finish my sketches, and do history, and get over more heat stroke. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I want fall weather. (Not winter, we can skip that season.)

It was for Architectural Design.
Not the London you're thinking of. I'm in the less famous one. Still in Canada.
