1) Go to your profile.
2) Click on "Modify Profile."
3) Scroll down to "Personal Information" and enter the url of your avatar where it says "Avatar URL."
Note: If your avatar is from the web and has already been posted on a website, you can get the url by right clicking on the image and clicking on "Properties," where you will find the url under "Address." If the avatar you wish to use is a file on your computer, you can upload it to your photobucket (if you have one) or to tinypic.com, where you can upload the file. The "Direct Link for Layouts" url is the one that you should use when putting the url into your profile information.
4) Scroll down the bottom of the page and click "Modify Profile." Check that your profile looks how you want it to be.
