So, just a thought that had crossed my mind after looking over the news and what not. What do all of you think about the Occupy movement going on over here in the US?
I wasn't completely sure what was going with it, but from what understand its all about anticapitolism (If I'm wrong please let me know).
What about how police are hanlding those who are protesting, using mace and placing barricades?

It's the 99% protesting agisnt the 1%.
I think it's BS that police are maceing them. These have been peaceful gathers in places open to the public. I think they're idiot for standing out there- it's not going to change ANYTHING. America will be in as bad as a shape it's in now for a loooooong time to come and it will get even worse before it get better.
If people want to demosntarate peacefully- let them. I think maceing them and placing barricades is wayyy out of line.

See when I first heard about it I thought similar ideas, but then you also have to consider that they were told to remove themselves, they were warned. And you also have to think about what exactly is peaceful. To a bystander is seeing this huge mass of people as threatening no matter what. And any large dedicated group like protesters are just a spark away from turning into a riot.
Now the 99 vs 1 is one of their slogans if remember, but I feel that is an inappropriate representation as there are many people that fall into different economic percentiles. You can't take captilism out of everything, money makes the world go 'round. This movment screams share the wealth to me, and personally I don't have much, but I work hard for what I have and I don't want to take hand outs or share what I have. If you feel that you don't have your share of wealth, do something about it, don't spend all your time sitting on a street corner, you could be spending that time getting a job or going to school to get a better job and make more money you wouldn't want to be sharing yours either.
Then I found this ironicn the protesters want money and politics separated but are asking for donations?
