hungergamesparody.com/So what do you think? Is this a sign that HG has become one of the big competitors in the pop culture, or do you think that this is a mockery of the major issues (like life, death, etc) the SuCo discuesses in this series?

I only managed to get through a couple of chapters -- I really dislike parodies. I don't find the humour in them.
But I guess it is a sign of HG being popularised, which will become even more pronounced with the movie. (Meeerg, soon I won't be able to be all hipster when I mention that one of my favourite series is HG.)

I read the first chapter (I only see the first chapter on the site), and I think it is very funny and brilliant. I never really was a Gale fan (or a fan of Peeta for that matter,) but the guy named Greta was like an even more dark and brooding and angsty Edward-Cullen type, if Edward was not an invincible vampire but a young man with actual hardships, but still hunted down furry animals.
I also like it how nuclear waste and rudimentary weaponry made from what is probably contraband cobbled-together nuclear parts is hinted at. If they ever do rebel against the Capitol, or just survive in the Hunger, But Mainly Death Games, it would be nice to have experience in something other than/better than bows and arrows.
How did you get past one chapter, Tokoloshe? The preview is only the first chapter, 17 pages.

The Mockstrich made me giggle, but I couldn't get past the first paragraph of actually reading it.
