I was trying to go with archery-related names. I'll probably go with Fletch. (Like fletching, get it? That's an archery thing, isn't it? Kate?)

Hm, I was thinking more along the lines of a mine shaft. But I like your reasoning better. Fletch is cool too! I think fletching is a thing. ... Don't quote me on that, though.

Yeah. 'Cause one of my friends and I were discussing how all the names have something to do with their thing - a Gale is a wind (archery); Katniss and Primrose are flowers; Peeta - pita...so I thought I'd continue with that.

I'll admit I laughed at the whole 'Shaft' name hahaha Yeah the Flethings are the feathers and that would be really cool for him (I wanted to name my sister's kitten fletch but she argued and name d him prince ) But if you want to stay completely canon with their names I have seen several guy griend relationships where they just call each other by their last names. It would sound kinda funny in more intimate scenes unless you kept them with pretty good humors.

I don't think lovers would call each other by their last names Besides, one of my friends came up with the name "Jay" for Katniss's dad which I think I like

Jay wouldn't be bad but it seems like the everdeens go with plant names since he named both his girls after plants

Yeah. We were thinking plant names (that is the friend I was discussing this with and me) and she suggested Oak but I have a character in my JulNo named Oak and he's kinda uptight so I didn't want to reuse the name. And then she said that she thought she was being original, and said she didn't know any more plants, and I couldn't think of any either so she suggested Jay.
Although I'm open to suggestions - plant names. Go.
(That's a variation on something I say frequently IRL - "things I can ask about your summer. Go." "Medieval names. Go." etc.)

Rowena: Most of the plant names I'm thinking of right now are flowers - which aren't exactly manly names, heh. If I do manage to think of something more masculine, I'll suggest it...
So would you say that that's your catchphrase? ;P
General: I'm working away at the Finnick/Gloss fic - tentatively titled 'Spoil' - and I'm pretty sure it's the longest one-shot I've ever written. And the end isn't really close in sight. XD

Oh my god. How did I not think of Briar? Argh. *facepalm* I might do Birch, I like that, I'll have to see how it sounds... Fletch and Birch, sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G...yeah I think I could make that work 'S not my catchphrase, no. My friends and I tried to figure out our catchphrases a while ago...I can't remember what mine was, but one of my friends' was "Nor do I"
