I have a few questions...
Is there a limit-length? And... are multi-chapters allowed/do they have to be complete when you first post them as long as they're done by the end of the challenge time? And I'm guessing that we'd be posting them on here and not on FF until after the challenge???

Submissions must be at least 500 words long; there is no maximum word count. It is not addressed in the rules but I'm gonna go ahead and say yes, multi-chapters are allowed; no, they do not have to be posted all at once; but yes, they must be completed at the end of the challenge time or your entry will be disqualified.
Entries must be posted on Starvation and are not allowed to be posted on FF.net until after the challenge has closed.

Ummm, so is the crossover idea allowed..?
(Also a question but not CCCNCC-related... When are the results of the August competition going to be posted? OTL)

Just kidding.Yeah, about the August competition...Ripred said she would PM me the results when she got the chance so I could post them, and trust me I'm just as eager for them to come out  I'll contact her in a few more days if she hasn't sent them yet. |

You aren't being impatient, you're asking a reasonable question quite nicely  I'll just go ahead and make an executive decision that your crossover is allowed. If we decide to change the rule, it will be for next year. Besides, a crossover is definitely AU  However I don't have the ability to executively announce the competition winners. Sorry |

Ah, I see... thanks for answering. I have one idea I might do (unless I get another one), but it could potentially get a bit lengthy and I don't want people to feel obligated to read something too long for the sake of voting... I'll work on it...

Yeah, I would reccomend not making it too long, personally - but it can be multiple chapters.

Eeep... I have another question.
I posted my entry, but since I have a bit of a long title, there wasn't enough room left to put the rating in the thread title. And not having the rating goes against the submission rules and I don't want to be disqualified so... what do I do now? (Sorry for being a bother...)

It's no bother What I recomend you do is edit your post and shorten or abbreviate your title as much as you can - i.e. change 'and' to '&' or '+' and shorten words if you can - and see if that leaves enough room for you to put the rating in the title thread. If that doesn't leave enough room, you can always '...' the middle or end of your title, as long as you have the full title in the top of your post. |

ANNOUNCEMENT: CCCNCC is being extended to October 22nd to give everyone the chance to write some more fic. Also you are now allowed to submit five entries.

Hmm...I hadn't thought about the whole it raising awareness thing. *stokes chin* This is why we keep smart members like you guys around - to come up with the ideas I should have XP As of now, you aren't allowed to post them on FF.net yet, but I may edit this rule and have a flood day for CCCNCC fic (basically just a day when everyone posts to other sites so it is unavoidable that people notice the fic). If we do this, mentioning and possibly linking to this site will be required.
