I'd say yes. Suzzane Collins even said so herself. They seem to have the experience, or they're unknowns, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and the fact that they had to be good enough to get the parts in the first place.

I'm not so sure about what I've seen from Hemsworth- he's pretty two-dimensional in the movies I've seen him in- but the others should be alright. I hope.

I figure that since I'm going to see the movie no matter what, and there's nothing I can do about the casting, it's not really worth complaining about. I'll always have the books. Plus, I don't have any real complaints yet. But has anyone else noticed that the D6 girl just looks a little bit too... well, old, for the role?

I think Jennifer Lawrence can do it. She's really, really good. But I'm not sure about the unknowns. They pick people who look to...mature.
;D But guess what? My best friend is on a softball team with someone who knows Jennifer Lawrence. And JL gave her a number to a talent agency.. ;D

I saw this one DeviantART that casted Haymitch as.... HUGH LAURIE! I ZOMGed at this and looked up the actual casting for him.
Anyone else pictured him as Hatmitch?

They chose Woody Harrelson for Haymitch.
Did you watch House, M.D. as much as I did? Because all of the THG fanatics I know (outside of everyone here) has never heard of Hugh Laurie. But if he could pull off Vicodin, alcohol won't be hard.

I think Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, and Elizabeth Banks (as Effie) to carry those hot boys, even if they can't act. Here's hoping they can.

I liked Hugh Laurie as House but I liked Woody Harrelson in Zombieland, he was great comic relief.
My biggest issue was as soon as I heard Hemsworth I though Miley Cyrus, other than that I've never seen his acting...and that thought scares my gale fangirling issue
