Cliche?

SO in the end of MJ...
I'll admit that I like to have matching siblings, my mom, sister and I all look exactly the same. But having a perfectly exchanged coloring with the kids on top of a plesant little home just irks me a bit. Was it just me or was there a bit much in the cliche with the eye and hair colors and how it all ended. I'm surprised they didn't build white picket fences and have another .5 of a kid with katniss' left foot and peeta's right running around to go with the other two.
I'm sorry if you disagree but this ending felt too cliche and easy for me. What do you htink about the kids? the lifestyles after MJ? the character arc?

I think the whole thing was a bit clichéd, definitely. Maybe it was supposed to be like that, since I can imagine Katniss and Peeta would definitely want something resembling normalcy after the revolution.
Eh, I'm indifferent to it. It would've been better if there had been more characters involved, but it should've have been an information dump either.

I really wanted more characters involved in the MJ epilogue.
As for cliched, I don't exactly remember what their kids' physical descriptions were, but if they both looked like a mix of Katniss and Peeta, or if one looked like Katniss and one like Peeta, I can buy that, because I know families where two or three siblings look really similar, like a mix of the parents, and a family where the daughter looks *just* like the mom and the son looks *just* like the dad...so while it's cliche, I wouldn't say it's necesarily unrealistic.
