I keep my facebook because if I didn't, I'd probably never be invited to anything. (I learned the hard way that my friends won't bother to call me and leave a message if I haven't responded to a facebook thread.)

I get invited to things by people I'm not friends with. It weirds me out. I'm doing a facebook cleanse now, just deleting all the people I don't give a shit about and who don't give a shit about me. It's strangely calming, knowing with a click of a button I'm rid of these people.
That's what leaving school does to you, haha.

I've never been a big facebook person, the only reason I even have one is because it was required for a web design class of mine in high school, now its basically just used so I can keep track of people I knew and talked to if I saw them on the street.

I should probably clean mine out. Dumb people from my high school in Jersey who I never talk to.

I did a Facebook clean out last month and I went from over 1000 friends to down to 400 something. Got rid of all those people from grade school that I never talk to anyways.

It's hard to clear people out for me because they take it to heart and start trying to get you excluded from parties and such. Luckily I don't usually go out so it doesn't affect me, but knowing that a Facebook add means so much to some people weirds me out.
At least it's better than myspace.

Now I feel old. xD
It was a social site before Facebook, yeah, but it wasn't lie Facebook in terms of layout or form or anything. Stupidity still abounded, though.

It was really a place for whoring around. xD That's all I remember, girls in my year posting awful pictures of themselves.
...they still do on Facebook I guess, but not as badly.

Haha, and I feel like a youngin. Yeah, you're gonna get those type of pictures on any type of social site. It just bemuses me that so many people post pictures like that, and some just think that it's completely okay. But it's just not. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

*comes in to chat randomly* Hey!
So... this is semi-related to all of this...
I don't have a Facebook, Myspace, Tumlr, etc, etc, etc, but I'm considering getting a LJ (finally got my mom to say yes to it) and wanted to know if anyone on here has one and knows about how LJ works, because I wanted to know before I made an account.. so, any tips are appreciated...

I have a LiveJournal, but I don't really use it- and there's not much to it anyway. It's a good site I suppose, but I found it hard to get into. Tumblr on the other hand I find fantastic. Despite all the hipsters, ahaha.
