So, I don't even know how I feel about being the person to bring this up, but the verdict came out today, so I thought some others out there might want to discuss it.
Opinions on the verdict, news coverage, trial, or anything else?

I didn't really watch it, just because my attention span doesn't find TV that fun anymore. Especially these stupid trials. There have been SO many murders like this, and none have gotten this much publicity. But, personally, she obviously had the mindset to kill her daughter. It isn't my choice, but I don't think she deserved to walk.
P.S. Your banner is done!

Personally i didn't get to watch all the trial news on this, but fro what I did see, I was not happy that she got off with this. Particularly with the decomp in the trunk.

It especially makes no sense that a random dude who flicked the lawyer off got more time than Casey. That's what ticked me off the most.

I don't know if Casey deserved to walk or not... but it's better for 100 guilty people to walk than 1 innocent be sentenced, right?

I was watching some other thing about this last night, and I heard one person say, "I didn't say she was innocent, I said there wasn't enough evidence to prove her guilty." That's how I feel about it, too. She's guilty, and personally I'd rather 1 innocent person to be locked up than 100 guilty people walk.
No matter what, here's what I think: "CASEY ANTHONY GETS A WEEK IN JAIL FOR MURDERING A LITTLE GIRL."

I can't see it as 1% innocent or 100% guilty or anything like that. You either did it or you didn't in cases like this, I see no way to justify your actions when it comes to hurting kids so there is no 23% guilty or what ever percentage.

I don't mean 1% guilty or 100% innocent. I'm saying that yes, she probably did. And yes, she should be locked up. But when it comes down to it I'd rather her walk than 100 innocent people. That's what feels fair to mean in our system.

Are we that messed up? America, Casey Anthoney frickin killed her son and daughter, and only got a WEEK IN JAIL!?!?!?! What's out problem? Maybe we shouldn't have killed her, but maybe a few years or more I'n jail would have done good. Only a week, seriously people, seriously...

The verdict was appalling. Now, I understand them acquitting her of of murder. The wasn't enough concrete conclusive evidence that she killed Caylee Anthony.
But acquitting her on negligent child abuse? *shaking my head* Another epic fail of the America justice system. It's like O.J. Simpson all over again, or when they threw Patty Heart in jail after her kidnapping.
