Haymitch. Is. My. Favorite. Alcoholic. xD Peeta is my favorite character, but Haymitch is a close 3rd. behind Katniss.

Haymitch is amazing, he's hilarious.
Peeta is pretty good, I would have to say my favourite was probably Johanna or Clove. Then Haymitch then Peeta. But they are all good characters if you ask me. ^_^

I agree with you - the quality in whcih Haymitch was written was amazing.
Collins really captured the image of a man put through hell, forced to kill, and chock full of barely masked emotions.
The alcoholism is just a plus.
