When I first read it, it was one of those 'You'll love these books!' moments with my teacher. Although she was around 65, she read books I loved. When I first started reading it, I could barely stomach the beginning. Falling asleep, I thought I'd hand it back to her the next morning. She BEGGED me to keep reading, saying it get's SO much better. So, scraping by the first three chapters, I finished the rest of the book in three hours.
Now they're my favorite book series, and I can never put them down, even for a re-read.
I agree with most of the posters here. Gore in books is, I dunno, beautiful. As apposed to it in movies, I start to feel really sick at the sign of blood more than a teaspoon. Can you imagine how I felt when my 'friends' forced me to watch 'Final Destination'?

Haha... that must have sucked! I actually don't mind to much gore, I just have to turn away a lot!

Haha! I couldn't manage the first scene of 'Final Destination'. But the HG series got me into gore-filled books.

Okay, did ANYBODY look up Chris Colfer on Google images? Seriously, he looks like what I imagine Finnick to be! (Okay, I'm a little biased 'cos I fangirl over him constantly and think he should have a huge part in everything, but whatever, he's gorgeous.)

Actually, I think he'd be bad for the part. Just because you get the 'Oh this actor is the gay guy from Glee- the movie will be horrible - types. I don't see him pulling the role of though...

Exactly. I just couldn't see him fitting into the role of Finnick after glee.

I agree. There was one guy I saw - Dylan Korrol - Who actually looks like a Finnick. Sorry to crush your fangirl dreams, Max. xD

Well the first 9 were kinda boring like most books at first I was like I'm not sure why my friends loved it soo much but then I became more of a fan them (and you have no idea how obsessed my friends are) and read the book in three days and I went crazy to get the second book
