JulNoWriMo, for those of you who don't know, is July Novel Writing Month - like NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month, in November) but in July. You have to write a 50,000+ word novel in a month. I really want to try it this year...I've always wanted to do NaNoWriMo but I'm really busy in November, so this should be slightly less hectic... Anyone else considering taking part/has done it before and would like to share their opinion? Or who wants to take part in this insanity with me, if I decide to do it? Or, more importantly, why am I looking this up when I have an English exam complete with essay tomorrow which I need to prepare for?

Hmm... I participated in Script Frenzy in April, (and won), I had a blast there. And I really wanted to try NaNo in November last time, but a family emergency came up and I didn't really get to try... So, I've been meaning to sign up for JulNoWriMo... and I think I will... right now... (after this post)... And, yeah, you should probably be getting to that studying, Rowena, tsk, tsk...

Studying, shmudying. I've actually found that the less I study, the better I do! Although in this case, I have to prepare an index card of quotations for an essay, so I *should* probably do that but we took a pool break and now I'm waiting to take my shower. Then I'll study more. For now I'm going to go sign up for JulNoWriMo

Saw your new account. I'm trying to sign up at the moment, but it keeps saying that I'm getting the image verification thingy wrong...

Cool - say hi when you get there!
Did you put spaces in? Because I did it with no spaces and it worked.

I participated once in NaNoWriMo, but then exams kicked in and I ended up not able to finish. Since I'm free this year I'll probably participate- but I wasn't aware of JulNoWriMo. I might give it a shot.

You should so I'm not alone in my insanity. I want to do NaNo, but I'd never finish. November isn't a good month for free time Maybe I'll do it when I'm in college...or after I graduate...

I want to try one of the NoWriMos, but, sadly, neither July nor November are good months for me.

They also have WriMos in June, August, and September (I think). Or you could just pick a month and go for it There's a huge list of similar events on the NaNo website, though.

I am proud to announce that I will be doing JulNoWriMo. I will actually have time rather then in Novenmber where I had no time last year, and less time this year.
